Mmm so right now I am a bit tipsy, but surely thats the best way to blog!! Anyway. Its Saturday, and I have spent my day fantastically. Lunch with 2 of my best friends Liz and Lyns, and Lyns fiance Andy, and we heard the news Lyns is pregnant! Which is such lovely, happy news :-) Couldn't be happier for Lyns and Andy. They are perfect together :-)
It's weird, I am 28 on Wednesday and feel I should feel some kind of envy/guilt for not being in Lyns situation (i.e. engaged/pregnant) but to be honest, I never thought I would be a mum by 30 let alone 28, and I don't feel remotely ready. I want kids, but in a few years. Thinking about my 20's thus far enjoying myself has been the priority and I think that this is so important and underrated. I have my house now (which I really love) and as of yesterday I have a new job and right now this makes me as happy as I need to be!!
Romance wise, I don't fancy anyone. Haven't for a while. This isn't to say its been a completely bleak few months (if you get my drift). I wish I did fancy someone though. Last time I did fancy someone properly it was inappropriate but he was lovely and I miss that crush, knew how to treat a woman, in lots of nice gentlemanly ways. If I think about it I still miss that person, probably because at that time in my life it was nice to know a man who was caring. Also he was fit.
Anyway, since my lovely lunch today, followed by an hours housework (listening to the game) I have watched 9 episodes of Mad Men. Amazing. Now I am listening to Elton Johns album, Madman Across the Water. Classic. Anyway. End of blog post as I am tired/drunk. Also its been what like a year? Will write again soon!
xx
p.s Got a promotion yesterday :-) Means a) won't get made redundant (fingers crossed) and b) pay rise! whoop! :-)

Identity
Well... Easter is done with and it finally feels proper springy and the fact summer (if we get anything resembling one) is only weeks away!! This means I am back in the zone weightwatchers wise, saying no to biscuits, and even avoided a carvery lunch today! Will all be worth it. Measured my waist at work today (not completely random, Vicki the health development officer sits opposite me and got a tape measure out) and my waist is a few cm within the healthy radius, compared to what it would have been 12 months ago that makes me very happy!!
Friday tomorrow which is just awesome, having a nice quiet weekend, need to really start studying (employment law and employment relations how exciting) but despite that am looking forward to the weekend!! Andrea's last day in our department tomorrow though which is v sad.
Have had some busy weekends recently. Spent a weekend in Cardiff (which included the rocky horror show live) which was awesome. Spent a weekend in Frankfurt which was also awesome (see pic of moi and
beer attached!!) And have had some meals/nights out with friends etc, did the 6 mile canal walk the other day flanked by pubs on either side which was great fun again. So looking forward to a lazy one this weekend :-)
Anyway, enough random chat. The election was announced officially finally on Tuesday. 6th May it will be. I am very excited about it all though apprehensive, as I don't think Labour will win which in my opinion would suck. The thought of David Cameron as PM and some of the idiots he surrounds himself with as the cabinet scares me quite a lot. However. Cannot wait for the leadership debates etc and am loving reading the broadsheets (namely Times and Guardian) and feeling informed and staying up-to-date on this election, reading blogs etc about it all. Am getting kind of tempted to get truly involved (now I am an actual member of the Labour party I am getting emails with details of how to) but it is q a daunting prospect, and my damned exams should probably take priority.
At the moment I am also generally just loving lots of books and telly and it all got me thinking that I feel like I properly am enjoying MY interests and am being true to MY identity for the first time in a couple of years (and I do only mean a couple of years as in since early 08) and I am loving it!! (How ridiculously cheesy was that sentence, ugh).
Anyway. This is my longest blog thingy ever. I totally write these for me, can't imagine anyone else reading them anyway and I am not sure I would want anyone I know to read them. Does that sound weird?
Anyway, enough ramblings from me. Some Masters golf and Europa League action to watch!! xx :-)

So clearly I am not good at this blogging thing!
Well, it has been a good 18 months or so since I last blogged so clearly I am not good at it! Am currently sat watching the derby (we are winning 1-0 currently and only have 10 men! lets see how long that lasts though, another 20 minutes or so to go) and am thinking I should start getting ready for later when I am going in to town with a couple of friends to watch England v Wales with beer!
So a good Saturday, of course what I should be doing is writing assignment. But I don't want to. Apart from anything else I would then have to think about work and after the week I have had there (and the ones coming up) that is the last thing I want to do with my Saturday. Also I am lazy. There's 2 excuses right there. This blog could become yet another mode of procrastination for me, if I bother to do any entries and remember that I have it.
Anyway. That is all from me today. Lets see how long it is until my next post! xx

First
Hello! First ever blog! Not much to say. Having a half lazy/half productive Saturday afternoon and was suddenly inspired to do this. I just felt like typing I think! Random. Shall update the about me section at some point and then begin blogging properly. (Whatever that is!) x
